Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026 · thebigidea.uk is operated in the United Kingdom.

What we collect

The calculator itself runs entirely in your browser — the numbers you type in are never sent to us or stored by us. The information below covers cookies and the third-party services used across the site.

Your cookie choices

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject everything except what's necessary, or choose exactly which categories to allow. You can change your mind at any time using "Cookie settings" in the site footer.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, roughly where from, and on what kind of device. This only runs if you've accepted analytics cookies. Google's own privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Ads

If you arrive here via a Google ad, Google Ads may set a cookie to measure whether that ad led to a visit or a purchase, and to help us understand which ads are working. This only runs if you've accepted advertising cookies. You can control the ads Google shows you at Google Ads Settings.

Google AdSense

We show advertising via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info/choices.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel to measure how effective our Facebook and Instagram advertising is, and to show ads to people likely to be interested in the Toolkit. This only runs if you've accepted advertising cookies. Meta's use of this data is described at facebook.com/privacy/policy, and you can manage the ads Meta shows you at facebook.com/adpreferences.

Managing cookies in your browser

Beyond the banner on this site, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. See AllAboutCookies.org for instructions by browser. Blocking necessary cookies may stop the site working properly.

Purchases

Toolkit purchases are processed by Stripe. We receive your email address to deliver your download and receipt; we don't see or store your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you (typically only a purchase email and, if you've accepted the relevant cookies, analytics/advertising identifiers) and ask us to delete it. Contact us via the email address on your receipt.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision. Significant changes to what we collect will be reflected in the cookie banner.
